The Health Area VII debuts a mental health center for a population of 82,000 people (18/03/2014)

The template of the new Mental Health Center is comprised of four psychiatrists, two psychologists, two nurses, a social worker and two assistants.

Palacios explained that consultations to cover both mental health centers Area VII "have hired five new professionals: two psychiatrists, a psychologist and two nurses."

The Network of Mental Health and Addictions of the Region of Murcia is composed of different types of public facilities and provides specialized care to people with mental health and alcohol and other drugs care.

The total staff of the Mental Health Network in the Region comprise 697 professionals, of which 136 are psychiatrists, 80 psychologists, and 27 159 nurses / social workers therapists.

The most common conditions treated in mental health centers in the Autonomous Community are anxiety disorders in different modalities and depressive.

Less often psychotic disorders and personality disorders are addressed.
