Schools Javalí Old and New Javalí Sangonera Dry learn how to deal with a toxic cloud (14/03/2014)

The Councillor for the Environment, Adela Martinez-Cache, the Education, Lola Sanchez, and the socialist mayor, Susana Hernandez, this morning attended the meeting that was organized with representatives of schools in the districts of Javalí Viejo, Javalí New and Sangonera la Seca, including the External Emergency Plan Sewer, so they know the mechanisms of action against possible risk of toxic episodes.

The talk, which was attended by fifty people and was held in the Municipal Auditorium of New Javalí Center, has been offered by chemical hazards technical specialists from the Directorate General of Civil Protection.

This talk was organized at the behest of the motion presented in plenary by all political groups represnetación at City Hall.

The same was attended by teachers and school board members of schools Contraparada River Segura, Hellin Lasheras, Pablo Gil Castillo, San José de la Montaña and Vicente Medina.

Civil Protection technicians have offered different advice about how to deal with an emergency situation for chemical risk.

Thus, they explained that the main action is the confinement of the students and keep doors and windows closed.

We also have to turn off air conditioners and any other that has spark or flame.

It has also been suggested that parents should not go pick up the kids when a toxic cloud occurs and there should be a hoot that students recognize as chemical hazard warning.
