Students at the School of Dramatic Art Murcia can make their internships as simulated patients in the Faculty of Medicine, University of Murcia, under an agreement signed today in Convalescence.
School students act as patients for medical students that they will improve their clinical and communication skills.
The acting dean of the faculty, Miguel Ángel Fernández-Villacañas, explained that the changes imposed by the Bologna degree in medicine involving the use of these new tools.
The director of the School, Sonia Murcia, has highlighted the pioneering nature of the initiative is the first time a medical school draws students from a school of dramatic art and the training-plus students involved for both parties.
The experience of using actors Drama School will soon be extended to studies of the Faculty of Psychology.
The agreement was signed by the President of the University, José Antonio Cobacho and CEO Colleges, Luis Javier Lozano.
