New measures against environmental noise will improve the quality of life of Murcia (03/03/2014)

The City Council has adopted interim measures that apply to Environmental Special Protection Areas of the municipality, while the Department of Environment adapts the new Ordinance on Protection against Environmental Noise and Vibration Issue the Noise Act.

The Department is finalizing the adaptation text of the ordinance to the law of noise, which will soon take initial approval.

In order that the measures set out in it to improve relationships between leisure and residents can apply as soon as possible without waiting for the final approval of the ordinance by the plenary, it was considered appropriate to adopt a precautionary measure the affecting mainly reduce the discomfort caused by the concentration of people in entertainment.

Through these measures, the granting of new licenses is regulated, and the use of terraces, now controlling both the installation of terraces that have authorized the use of musical equipment inside the premises.

Also, users of the same will be advised of the need to respect the rest of the neighbors.

The adopted resolution will be discussed publicly for a month to be approved later in the Municipal Council.

The above measures, precautionary until definitively approve the new ordinance, aim to Murcia can remain a city that offers leisure and enjoy the weather, the time can be reconciled with the rest and neighborhood quality of life of its inhabitants.

The areas affected by these measures are:

Zone 1: Environment Captesa Square.

Expands, comprising the following streets: Square Captesa, Avenida Alfonso X El Sabio and street Bartolomé Pérez Casas.

Area 2: Environment Romea Square.

It includes the following streets: Calle Fernández Ardavín Writer, Plaza Santa Gertrudis, Bachelor street Cascales, Serrano Alcazar Street Manfredi, Alfaro street, street Albudeiteros, Square Julián Romea, street González Leader.

Zone 3: Environment Enrique Villar Street.

It includes the following streets: Calle Santa Ana, Calle Enrique Villar, Enrique Villar Crossing alley Circus Caravija street, Calle San Ignacio de Loyola.

Zone 4: Environment of the James Street Plaza Universidad and Laws.

It includes the following streets: New Gate Street, Calle Doctor Jose Tapia Sanz, Calle San Martin de Porres, Antonio Puig Street, James Street Laws, Antonio Garrigós Street, University Square, Street Painters Murcianos.

Zone 5: Environment and Fleming streets Doctor Saavedra Fajardo.

It includes the following streets: Calle Andrés Baquero, Barn Street, street Saavedra Fajardo, Blessed Andrew Square Hibernón, Doctor Fleming Street, Santa Rosalia Street, Dock street, street Victorio, Sardoy street, square Sardoy, San Carlos Street, Selgas Street, Trinity Street via Santa Quiteria street Servants of Jesus, Luisa Street Aledo, street Aguera, Balsas street, street Vara de Rey, Mesegueres street, street Oven, Plaza de las Balsas, Street Paco, Mariano Vergara street, Rambla street, Calle San Antonio .

Zone 6: Neighborhood Street Juan Ramón Jiménez (Infante Don Juan Manuel).
