The IBAFF Festival 2014 begins on Monday with 32 films in the official section (28/02/2014)

The jury will be composed of Cintia Gil Felix Piñuela, Gloria Fernández, Javier Fuentes Feo, Jorge Yglesias, and Rebecca de Pas |

The IBAFF announces the projected set of films this year, which will be composed of 60 projections chosen from more than 300 tapes received.

The official selection will consist of thirty works, of which thirteen are full Spanish national productions and co-productions with five are Portugal, Italy, Cuba, Brazil and France.

In the official section features 8 films will be screened, while there will be 7 short films and 15 debuts.

OPENING AND CLOSING

The festival will open with Redemption (pending confirmation. Portugal, France, Germany and Italy), an epistolary short in which four characters from different eras and countries bare their souls with voiceover through letters or intimate texts.

'E-agora, lembra-me', which received the Special Jury Prize at the Locarno Film Festival, will close the IBAFF.

In the film, its director, Joaquim Pinto, his own experience during a year of experimental HIV treatment.

SPECIAL SCREENING

Historical Center

The film, directed by Pedro Costa, Manoel de Oliveira, Victor Erice and Aki Kaurismäki, was commissioned by the city of Guimaraes, European Capital of Culture in 2012.

Each of the directors had the same budget and with complete freedom to shoot, or not, in the Portuguese city.

Precisely Costa, which has one of the most recognized filmographies in Europe, will participate in the meeting of directors, an interesting session in which he will be released, along with other authors, the process of creating your films.

Also during the festival there will be a meeting of young writers, who try to break into the world of cinema.
