The rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, received today in his office at the directive of the Regional Committee for UNICEF, which has been delivered to an award for his continued interest in the defense of the rights of the child.

UNICEF wanted to thank the rector special sensitivity to issues related to child welfare and fulfillment of their rights, and their collaboration with the Agency, dating back to his time as dean of the law school.

During the last twelve years, there has been close cooperation between the University of Murcia and UNICEF, taking shape in activities such as volunteer training sessions, university actions mobilization, dissemination of humanitarian aid campaigns and numerous workshops and seminars.
