University of Brazil, Latvia, Mexico or India reach the UCAM (22/02/2014)

The number of college students who have come to the UCAM from different parts of the world has increased considerably in the current academic year 2013/14.

Thus, the Catholic University has at this time with students from countries such as Portugal, France, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy, Brazil, Argentina, Burkina Faso or India spread its various undergraduate and postgraduate.

Is the case of Master in Business Administration (MBA), which this year has begun to be taught in English and also has students from India, Jordan, Pakistan, Italy, Indonesia, Germany, France and Russia.

"For a Spanish student, this is an excellent opportunity to learn in a multicultural environment that allows you to create contacts and be prepared to work in a global economy," says Rosa Alfonso, professor and one of the coordinators of the title.

Egypt, Burkina Faso and Ireland

Other graduate degree taught in English and having in their classrooms to international students is the High Performance Sport.

"We have students from Greece, Armenia, Burkina Faso, Egypt, Italy, Ireland, Portugal and Albania, in addition to four Spaniards," says Emilio Pedro Alcaraz, director of the Master.

"It is a very enriching experience, for an international environment is created on campus. Moreover, as the classes are in English, language learning is very fast."

From Germany to Murcia

Also, note that the Campus Jeronimos is an important part in the training of university students from around the world, not only through the programs described, but also maintains special agreements with different universities UCAM.

Thus, a group of more than sixty students from the German University of Applied Sciences Oekonomie und Management (FOM), is hosting a three-month stay in San Antonio de Murcia Catholic University to study International Business Certificate, an intensive program taught in English by teachers from both institutions.

This is the third consecutive year that students from that university studies conducted in the UCAM.

In addition, many also have enrolled in courses to learn Spanish.

Exchange programs working with the Catholic University of Murcia, which aim to provide students with an international multicultural training peppered with nuances, has led many of them to many places beyond our borders.

It is programs like 'Erasmus', 'Overseas' or 'Latin America', this course have provided many students the possibility of both survey and internships abroad.

One is Alvaro Arranz, a student of Bachelor in Communication Studies, located in Singapore combining its subjects with an internship in the office that has the UCAM there.

"It's a strong cultural experience. Enriches you very much," says Alvaro.

"Discover the Asian market allows you to make interesting contacts and, with a little luck and hard work, you can guide you in your early years as a professional. It is a possibility that not all universities offer" highlights.

In addition, this type of mobility programs in foreign universities has led to the UCAM a large number of international students from Portugal, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Latvia, Poland and Romania, who will attend the Campus Jeronimos part of their studies.
