Fifty alumni perform UCAM practices with Santander Scholarships (17/02/2014)

The Campus of the Catholic University of Murcia has been the scene this morning ceremony certificates to former students who have made UCAM placements through Santander Scholarships Practices in SMEs.

The scholarships, which has launched Banco Santander through its Santander Universities Global Division, are driven by the bank itself, the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE) and the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises (CEPYME ).

The objective of this initiative, now in its third edition, is to facilitate, undergraduate and master related law, physiotherapy, ADE, Social and Cultural Anthropology, Telecommunications Engineering, Advertising and Public Relations, Journalism, Engineering Construction, Computer Engineering, Elementary Education, Engineering in Telecommunications Systems, CAFD and Masters in Communication, or Pathology and Intervention in Construction, labor practices in Murcia companies to expand their knowledge and promote their employment.

The Santander Scholarships Practices in SMEs have already allowed fifty graduates of the university Murcia have completed their academic training with work experience in more than 25 companies.

In the act have spoken the rector of the UCAM, Josefina García Lozano, and Territorial director of Valencia Banco Santander, Luis Rodriguez de la Fuente, who were accompanied by the director of Institutional Banking, Juan Manuel Núñez, Director of Conventions Spain Santander Universities, José María García de los Ríos, and the director of the office of the bank on the campus of the University, David Lopez.

The President highlighted the efforts that the UCAM hits since its inception to provide work experience to students, this project also reinforced by Banco Santander.

"It is a pioneering initiative and gives good results," he said.

"The scholarship of practice allow students know better and have more confidence. When an opportunity like this will fail, it emerges stronger as a person."

Banco Santander, through Santander Universities, working with the UCAM since 2011 for the development of various initiatives and projects.

The bank has more than 1,100 cooperation agreements with universities and institutions around the world.
