With the exposure of the census, the University of Murcia open tomorrow, the 14th, the process for the election of president and for the renovation of the 300 eligible members of the Senate of this educational institution, according to the schedule that has been approved today by the Council government.
The period of exposure of the electorate will continue until February 20, while the nomination shall be made between the 26th of that same month and March 4.
The announcement of the final candidates will be held on March 12, and the campaign will run from that date until April 1, while the ratings have been set for the third day of the last month.
As regards the choice of rector, if necessary go to a second round, voting will take place on April 9, and the final proclamation, on the 14th.
At today's meeting the Governing Council, one of the teachers who advance their intention to contest the elections, Francis Martinez, has asked the rector, José Antonio Cobacho, cease his position as director of the School International PhD.
