The Councillor for Social Welfare and Health, María del Carmen Pelegrin, this morning attended the Senior Community Center of St. James for a meeting with the board, chaired by Miguel Espinosa.

The mayor was accompanied by the president of the Municipal Board of Santiago el Mayor, Pilar Balsalobre.

During the meeting visited the center to see first hand their needs, their activities and projects that feature.

The senior center has over 800 members and offers consultation podiatry, hairdressing, dancing and travel.

Pelegrin conduct periodic visits Senior Centers to check the status of facilities and operation thereof.

The Department is responsible for maintenance of these spaces.
