Nuria Mora, lomography and social networks this winter landed in Mills Río_Caballerizas Space (06/02/2014)

The Space Río_Caballerizas Molinos hosts tomorrow, at 20 am, the opening of three exhibitions included under the heading 'Nature and City': Nuria Mora; 'Lomography.

Living analog photography in the XXI century 'and' From Nature to the cloud.

Social networks as a source of support and the arts'.

This year 2014, the Mills River Area Stables wants to innovate in its programming: thus, these three joint exhibitions, together, they all respond to the idea of ​​reflection and study on the potential of new communication models in the city and coalesce around the concepts of Nature and City.

This new concept of exhibitions can be visited until next April.

Exhibition Nuria Mora: Horseback is occupied by an intervention by the multidisciplinary Madrid artist Nuria Mora, known for his urban murals, always with paint (not spray) in walls and disused buildings, but it also works of sculpture, painting, with techniques such as acrylic and watercolor, and drawing with ink.

His work is characterized by geometric and plant motifs impregnated color.

His work in Murcia is a specific project for this exhibition space in which you are working hard in recent days and which has developed a colorful space intervention.

Mora is among the hundred most important authors of urban art in the book 'Beyond the Street - The 100 Leading Figures in Urban Art' by Patrick Nguyen and Stuart Mackenzie.

He has exhibited, among other places, at the Tate Modern in London, the Miró Foundation in Barcelona, ​​in various European centers of Instituto Cervantes or the Museum of Contemporary Art in Johannesburg.

He has also collaborated with Cirque du Soleil, Mini One and Loewe.

Nuria Mora was selected in the exhibition "Grafika" with thirty most interesting young visual arts that move in the panorama of Spanish urban art that follow the concept of "do it yourself".

Exhibition "Lomography: analog photography living in the XXI Century": This photography exhibition shown in the Mills River area.

Following the workshop held in September last year with the Lomography ambassador in Spain, photographer Pasquale Caprile, during which thirteen teenagers in our city, has organized this exhibition shows a selection of photographs taken by them, following the Lomographic slogan "Do not think, shoot".

In addition, an approach with some of the best actors of Lomographic photography in Spain will be offered to analyze the effect of analog photography today, with Pasquale provided by Caprile, Blanca Viñas, Marcus Mailov, Gali and Francesc Arnau Marigel images.

This project seeks to leverage channels visibility of the youngest in the current international context, since the presence of the Lomographic cameras worldwide has created a global network in which creativity is the common link.

This mini-project on social relations and creation, is presented as a starting point for reflection on those people who are not identified as artists, but which, by their ways of using social media are turning their interventions much like what used to be called art.

The idea presented is a demonstration of how some texts, images or videos is not necessarily anonymous authors cataloged or even move.

The important thing here is how the authors present their content in a digital exhibition format and how, through various separate networks, a relationship is created.
