Restauran other four new historical plaques that adorn the city (27/01/2014)

The parts identified as the houses of famous Murcia, historical events or institutions.

Among the characters that recall include military José de San Martín, Fruit or Sánchez Baeza Madrigal.

They also identify the headquarters of the Brotherhood of Forgiveness.

The city of Murcia has culminated in recent weeks restoring four other historical plates, small pieces of history back to the city that look like the first day they were opened.

Specifically, it has rehabilitated the marble plaque remembering the founding of the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Forgiveness in a house located in the neighborhood of San Antón on June 15, 1886.

In addition, it has also restored the bronze plaque in memory of General José de San Martín, who served in a regiment of the city of Murcia.

The third piece recalls the house where he lived and died the great poet Ricardo Sánchez Madrigal.

It was carved in marble and inaugurated on September 19, 1925.

The last restoration to date has focused on a marble plate located on Calle Joaquin Costa recalling the birthplace of the poet José Baeza Frutos.

Murcia City Council will continue to promote the restoration of the twenty plaques that adorn the city.

Mostly resemble famous Murcia, among which Tornel Martínez Frutos Saavedra Baeza or Fajardo, institutions or historical facts.

Among the materials which were made include marble, ceramic and bronze.

Some of them, such as the tombstone in tribute to Mr. Francisco Cascales, was conducted by authors such as Juan Gonzalez Moreno.

It is located in the plaza of the School of Dramatic Art.

The plates are spread over various locations in the city, such as the honor of Blessed Andrew Hibernón, on a facade in front of the church of San Juan de Dios, or plaque honoring José Esteve Mora, Sagasta street.

Very close to the latter is the tombstone that marks the house where he founded the Brotherhood of Christ of Forgiveness.

Among the pieces to be restored include:

Tribute to Blessed Andrew Hibernón, located in the front where he was born outside the church of San Juan.

Tribute to Juan Esteve Mora: Located on street Sagasta.

Tribute to Mr. Francisco Cascales, Juan Gonzalez Moreno to carry out in the square of the School of Dramatic Art.

Plaque recalls the existence of a synagogue in Sardoy plaza.

Plaque commemorating the founding of the Brotherhood of Forgiveness: Located on the front of the house where the institution was founded in San Antolin.

Plaque tribute to the birthplace of poet Ricardo Sánchez Madrigal: Located in front of the Polo de Medina street.

Tribute to Francisco Gómez Aroca.

Located in the plaza of the Church of Zarandona.

Plaque tribute to the birthplace of José Baeza Frutos: Street Joaquín Costa.
