Eight homeless SEMAS received the attention on the street this week (24/01/2014)

The Mobile Emergency Services and Social Care (Semes) of the Department of Social Welfare and Health, attended this week during their nights out, a total of eight people, six men and two women, five of Spanish nationality and the rest from Lithuania, Estonia and Senegal.

The night Semas team consisting of a social worker and a local police officer, walking areas of town in the vicinity of Gran Vía, Plaza Fuensanta, Santa Isabel, San Andres, San Antón, Gaspar de la Peña, Paseo Corvera, Renfe station, garden Viudes and Artillery Barracks.

Throughout this week outputs three blankets were distributed, four hot drinks and bus fare was provided in one case, and a move to his home.

All persons served was informed of existing municipal resources.

The rsponsable Semas highlighted the collaboration of night service information, as the information provided to help these people has been crucial for interventions.
