The feast of Murcia internationally promoted in Fitur (23/01/2014)

The International Tourism Fair in Madrid (Fitur) has become the stage this morning to promote the celebration of Murcia Spring Festival and Fair-in the cultural and tourism sector.

The Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, presented the festivities and encouraged visitors to know Murcia Fitur at parties.

The Angel of Salzillo has been chosen as the brand of Easter Murcia, declared of International Tourist Interest since 2011.

Murcia Mayor, Councillor for Culture, Rafael Gómez, the president of the Cabildo and Guilds of Murcia, Ramón Sánchez Parra, presented this morning at Fitur the slogan 'Murcia, a city with Angel', which aims to promote this celebration and that all people see the Angel of Salzillo and quickly identify what this motto with Murcia and Easter.

'Murcia, a city with Angel' is a semantic game that alludes to the beauty of Murcia and its Easter.

Moreover, the figure of the Angel claims to be the representative image of all Murcia brothers, who work together to improve and spread Easter.

Great artists have been interested in the figure of the Angel of Salzillo, among which is Gabriel Miró, who included it in his book The Leper Bishop.

Representatives of Murcia-Federation of Peñas groups festive Sardineros-Huertanas and have gathered this morning at the International Tourism Fair, which also presented the poster of the Spring Festival, the work of Severo Almansa.

The poster is organized with a mosaic of illustrations that refer to each of the most important activities and parades that take place during the week of the Festival.

The choice of this artwork, photographs of pieces of ancient crafts and guarded in private collections in the Museum of the City, showing the traditional Naif own aesthetics of the artisans of clay in the region.

The author wanted to pay homage to the patron saint of the city, the Virgin of Fuensanta, who heads the cartel axis.

Spring Parade in Murcia, represented with a flower embroidery, the typical hachoneros Burial of the Sardine, the huertanos with typical regional dress and orchard fruits (lemons and peppers ...) are also present.

All these elements are organized in a way that combines tradition with modernity of his graphic approach.

The festivities will be held from 21 to 27 April.

Miguel Angel House has explained that this is to promote the holiday as a tourist and cultural attraction, and pointed out that in addition to Easter, the Bando de la Huerta and the Burial of the Sardine are of International Tourist Interest.

The Federation of Moors and Christians was also present at the fair and has emphasized the attractiveness of the town during the September Fair.

Fitur The scenario has been used to present the theatrical visits to the city of Murcia involving four actors characterized as characters in the story of Murcia, that information been shared among those attending the Fair.

In the theatrical visits the city involved six personal-Rahman II, Alfonso X, Cardinal Belluga, Count of Floridablanca, Salzillo, José Crespo, the Risen Demon-La Huerta and Almudí, Wall Veronicas Cathedral palace and walking their environment, Tatters, Santo Domingo, Las Claras and square Romea.

The next visit will be in February.

In addition, this presentation has been supported by hotel managers located in Murcia, supporting the tourism promotion activities undertaken by the Department of Tourism.

Hotels in Murcia collaborate with the Office of Conference and are working with the Department of Tourism to promote various tourist packages that include overnight stay for two people, guided tour and tourist card, from 39 euros.

Murcia Fitur is present with its own stand, within the space of the Region of Murcia.
