The University of Murcia held in April the First International Congress of Colleges and Schools of Social Work (15/01/2014)

The University of Murcia organized from 23 to 25 April the First International Congress of Colleges and Schools of Social Work, which will be attended, among other experts, the Prince of Asturias Award Saskia Sassen, directors of Amnesty International and the president of the European Association of Schools of Social Work.

The dean of the Faculty of Social Work at the University of Murcia, Enrique Pastor, stressed that it is the first conference of its kind to be organized in Spain, where all the colleges and schools of the discipline in the country will meet in the 7 plenary sessions and 325 conferences scheduled communications expert.

Pastor has made these statements at the rectory during the signing of the agreement with one of the main sponsors, the company Group 5 Action and Social Management Ltd., which will provide 6,000 euros for the Congress, and publish the book of the same frame.

The rector, José Antonio Cobacho, thanked the company representative, Ana Navarro, the contribution to a meeting in which firms like Repsol and other entities such as the Ministry of Health or the Conference of Deans of Social Work involved.
