71.5% of complaints reaching the Ombudsman of the University of Murcia University students are (15/01/2014)

71.5 percent of the cases that reach the Ombudsman Degree from the University of Murcia, José Palazón, come from the students, according to data collected in the Report for the past year and presented to the Senate of this educational institution.

The report describes "software" that percentage, being the largest student population of the university community "and that has fewer alternative mechanisms to raise questions or report possible violations of law."

However, proportionally, is the teaching and research staff which goes to the Ombudsman's Degree, adds the report.

The report reflects that throughout the course of that 309 cases were treated, representing an increase compared to the previous 283.

Of the cases received, 135 were filed by men, 150 women, 22 groups and two anonymous.

"Of note is the statement-that, with respect to its proportion in the different groups, women of Administration and Services (PAS) and the Teaching and Research Staff (PDI) have shown greater determination than men to time to go to this office. "

Most of the complaints of the students are related to breaches of teachers, absence or lack of publication of the teaching guide, changing schedules and mass group practices, among others.

As teachers, highlight issues related to working conditions, interpersonal discrepancies within departments or teaching assignment, while the PAS is particularly concerned about the compatibility of work or studies and delays in resolving supply employment.

The report also contains a number of recommendations, including the revision of the rules of progression and retention and applying for credit recognition to students from non-university higher education.
