Educatio XXI Century magazine published a monograph on social pedagogy (14/01/2014)

The Evolution of Social Pedagogy monographic theme of the latest issue of the Journal of the Faculty of Education at the University of Murcia Educatio XXI Century, directed by Professor Javier Ballesta this institution.

, Corresponding to the second half of 2013, newly released number consists of 18 articles and 11 specialized bibliographic reviews new educational terrain, while monographic section dedicated to the so-called Social Pedagogy.

The monograph, coordinated by professors at the University of Murcia Juan Sáez and Margarita Campillo, analyzes the evolution of this field of knowledge in the last two decades of the previous century and the force that emerged in Spain and it spread universities country.

This impulse is largely linked to the training of future social workers, but also the desire of a number of teachers, usually associated with the departments of Theory and History of Education, had the urgent need to engage in research and form, from the data, those who wanted to recreate those educational practices recipients demanding education outside social channels to use.

The effects of those years of pushing and fighting to assert allowed the group of teachers was constituted as a private community behind seeking confirmation of a specific area of ​​knowledge and address a number of scan lines consistent with the spirit and purpose of the field study.

The magazine, published by the publishing house of the University of Murcia (Editum) both in printed and electronic open access (http://revistas.um.es/educatio) expands its frequency in 2014, which happens to be quarterly.
