With the aim of carrying out a project to break the transmission of poverty from parents to children, encouraging the development of a healthy and happy childhood, as well as a fuller development of their potential and capabilities, the City of Murcia will sign a cooperation agreement with La Caixa Foundation to carry out development progam PROINFANCIA Caixa.
The agreement has received the approval of the Governing Board this morning.
The program is an initiative that is part of the social framework of commitment to human rights, peace, justice and dignity, addressed to children in situations of economic poverty and social vulnerability in order to promote and support development in a comprehensive way, encouraging and supporting policies to improve equity, social cohesion and equal opportunities for children and their families.
The object of agreement is regular collaboration between the city of Murcia and the "la Caixa" Foundation, to coordinate efforts to optimize the application of Caixa Proinfancia Programme to facilitate both improving the situation of children and their families, and to develop the skills and commitment necessary to enable them assume independence of the process improvement.
The general objectives that guide the program are:
- Encourage the development of skills of children, teen and family to improve their processes of social inclusion and autonomy.
- To promote the social and educational development of children in their family, school and social context.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive model of social and educational activities to help improve the social and educational opportunities for children and their families development.
