"Murcia does not deserve a copy and paste of municipal budgets" (21/11/2013)

This is one of the conclusions which confirms that contact with citizens is essential to make a new policy.

This was confirmed by the council of the Socialist Group members of different associations in the municipality during the meeting that was held yesterday to discuss the 2014 budget of the municipality.

During the meeting, spoke of the need to restore direct contact with citizens, especially when they are making decisions that directly affect their lives.

There were also criticisms of the neglect and lack of support that continues to suffer the associative in the municipality.

Since 2010 and until today, they said the members of the various associations, declining financial support is another unquestionable realities that reflect the budgets year after year.

Claims and alternative budgets

Thus, Lopez encouraged the representatives of the groups that attended the meeting to make representations to the accounts of the City.

"This analysis will serve to further secure our position and prepare for the next exercise, alternative budgets, to reflect the point of view of citizens."

In this sense, the Socialist spokesman restated that "Murcia is not worth the PP again make a copy and paste of budgets, should be a different municipality, fairer and future."

Finally, Lopez once again lamented that the local PP retained, at the expense of the general interest, Murcia pocket, mortgages housekeeping millions (56M €), Terra Natura (€ 3M), tram (€ 11M ), private sports centers (4.6 M €) and taxation management (9 M €).
