The Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) this morning the first edition of the Master in High Performance Sports: Strength and Fitness.
The Master integrates the necessary methodological basis for research studies independently and deepening the knowledge of the areas of sports performance and fitness.
At the presentation ceremony involved the dean of the Faculty of Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport, Pato Antonio Sanchez, the director of the Master, Pedro Emilio Alcaraz, together with various teachers of the title.
The Dean of the Faculty of CAFD, Antonio Sanchez Pato, has stressed that "this is a title that will open many doors in the workplace", and stressed that "there are already formed a group that will begin to study the Master in this language from January, making it the first high-performance master Spain to be conducted in English, which will provide even greater prestige to these studies. "
For his part, the director of the Master, Pedro Emilio Alcaraz, said that "it is an honor to be in charge of this title, known for the high quality of teachers, teachers formed by international benchmarks in sports."
Also stressed that this Masters "in Spain is the only accredited NSCA (American Association of Strength and Conditioning), while highlighting its fitness and sports training level."
Among the faculty members outside the UCAM, include the strength training consultant in elite athletes and professional rugby players, David García López, European University Miguel de Cervantes, a specialist in sports biomechanics at the University of Castilla La Mancha, Xavier Aguado, and biomechanics specialist athleticism and strength training at the University of Porto, Filipe Almeida.
