This child Plenum, coordinated by the Department of Education, is part of the set of activities that are part of the Week Memorial Children's Rights and the girls that the city of Murcia held every year.

This year, the players have been addressed in greater detail the right to be specially protected, especially in the school environment, since it is one of the major responsibilities of all governments.

The Convention on the Rights of the UN General Assembly drafted and approved November 20, 1989, it clearly shows that the "State shall protect children from all forms of injury or abuse, neglect or neglected by their parents or any other person who has the care ...... "especially in cases which might arise situations of distress".

Therefore, the maltreatment of children and youth, of whatever kind, is the violation of their rights and we should try to prevent it, creating the conditions for them to access care, protection and education they need.

It involves implanting a genuine culture of good treatment that makes it possible that their needs are being met so they can develop and reach maturity integrated into adulthood in a healthy, constructive and happy.

The schools, by virtue of being the only institutions who come daily to all children, become a privileged observatory for any situation of abuse and the ideal place to establish relationships based on models of good treatment .
