The Socialist councilor Andrea Garries will defend an initiative in Parliament this month asking the PP to launch a collaboration agreement with the University of Murcia to create a support system for students participating in international programs, more than 300 students from the municipality.

"It is unfortunate that the city of Murcia make this small effort," said Garries, who explains that "it is helping young Murcia studying abroad, more after the suppression by the CARM grant, what which has reduced the total amount of the scholarship in almost half. "

The socialist mayor speaks of a monthly contribution by the City to range between 30 and 50 euros, as already established by other municipalities in the region as Alhama, Blanca, Calasparra, Caravaca, Cehegín, Fortuna, Cotillas Towers, Lorqui Los Alcazares, Puerto Lumbreras and Totana.

A change-continues Garries - students who will benefit from this project, on his return from abroad, collaborate with the municipality devoting 10/15 hours a year to the club's Language Department of Youth, helping promote Murcia as auxiliaries tour guide and giving lectures in secondary education centers to tell students their experience abroad.

"We hope that, this time, the City do the same thing they have done other municipalities in the region and do not let the youth pulled Murcia students studying abroad," says Garries, who recalled that last year introduced an initiative in this direction to Parliament that the PP rejected.
