The replacement of nine points of light in a garden of Infante reduced by 55% the energy consumption (11/11/2013)

The City will improve visibility, reduce energy consumption and minimize CO2 emissions in the neighborhood of the Infante Don Juan Manuel.

The Department of Urban Quality will replace the existing lighting in the garden located between the streets Pablo Neruda and Avenida Pío Baroja by more efficient.

The new facility will consist of LED spotlights, white light, 45 W, which will be placed in columns of fiberglass insulation and impervious to moisture and chemical aggressions.

The renewal will represent a 55% reduction in energy consumption and cost by about 76-34 Euros.

There are currently nine streetlights installed are translucent globes, which generate high degree of light pollution, with a discharge lamp sodium vapor.

These points of light have an approximate age of 35 years.
