The University of Murcia has unveiled a massive online open course (Mooc) for entrepreneurs in the field of mobile applications, which is intended for the implementation of ideas and businesses.
Integrated Platform Aemprende Unimooc, the course is an order of the Vice President for Business and Infrastructure Chair of Entrepreneurship at the institution, whose director, Antonio Aragon, highlighted during the presentation ceremony held today in convalescence, direct connection to be given between students, teachers, entrepreneurs and professionals.
"It makes available to college students, and anyone with an Internet connection, training to develop their business ideas and to learn about, directly from the hands of professionals, the key to starting a business," he added.
The presentation was attended by the general coordinator of the Platform Unimooc Aemprende, Professor at the University of Alicante Andres Pedroza, who has called Mooc courses as an unprecedented innovation to bring education to the student and extend local area universities to a global scope, and the Vice Chancellor for Information Technology at the same university, Francisco Macia, who has praised the initiative of the institution Murcia.
The ceremony was presided by the rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho, and the same has also been involved the Minister of Education, Universities and Employment, Pedro Antonio Sánchez.
The Minister said that universities, with projects like this, "putting ICT at the service of knowledge", meet the "social work demanded by citizens."
The Vice Chancellor for Business and Infrastructure of the University of Murcia, Antonio Calvo-Flores, meanwhile, has referred to this type of online training as a necessary complement to traditional teaching.
