The association gives the award ADEMTRA Solidarity 2013 Heart Transplant Unit of Arrixaca (04/11/2013)

Transplant Unit Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca has been awarded the National Award Heart VI Solidarity 2013, recognition granted by the Vice President for Student and Employment at the University of Murcia, Murcia Transplant Association (ADEMTRA).

Unit this year reached its thousandth liver transplantation, an event that coincided with the 25th anniversary of the first liver transplant, which turned Murcia in the third city, after Barcelona and Madrid, in this type of operation.

The award will be collected by the chief surgeon Transplant Unit, Professor at the University of Murcia Pascual Parrilla, in a ceremony that will be held on Wednesday, April 6, at the Faculty of Social Work, Espinardo campus.

Delivery will take place at 12:00 hours in the presence of the rector of the University of Murcia, José Antonio Cobacho.
