IU-Greens claim that service concessions Sports still affect the municipal budget (29/10/2013)

Department of Sports, Youth and Tourism

The IU-Greens councilor in the city of Murcia, José Ignacio Tornel, said today that the Sports service awards to private companies "still affect the city's budget."

Tornel indicated in the resources allocated to that service for 2014 highlights the maintenance payments to companies that manage Inacua sports centers, Fleet and Verdolay (4'6 million).

He explained that so benefits accrue to firms, while losses if these are assumed by the municipal coffers, under the agreement that the government team signed.

Thus, "it breaches the agreement of Parliament that decided to renegotiate the terms and conditions for the operation of these facilities."

As for the Youth Service, Tornel says that "it is an overall continuity budget".

"It is outrageous comparisons from 2011 on subsidies to non-profit entities. In 2011 this concept received an amount of 386,000 euros, while for 2014 are provided 56,400 euros. This I knew a decrease of 3,600 euros compared to 2013" .

The result, says the mayor, is the gradual disappearance of youth associations devoid of minimal resources.

In his view, the political choice desasistir these youth initiatives is a blow to the association calculated in terms of social integration and participation of young people.

"The council only feeds youth activities organized by companies, in which the role is conditioned as consumers of activities, canceling the social role of the young."

In reference to the departure of Tourism, Tornel has said that far from promoting the official discourse on promoting tourism in Murcia, and has highlighted the lack of investment in local cultural and festive potential and poor coordination with other councils concerned.

IU-Green: The City does not get minimum cleaning conditions despite spending more than 50 million euros

The IU-Greens councilor in the city of Murcia, José Ignacio Tornel, today criticized the government team "fails minimum cleaning conditions despite spending more than 50 million euros."

Tornel said that the contract for CESPA represents 13 percent of the overall budget city, but if you do not have those chapters compromised or difficult to change (Chapters 1 and 2, and Construction Personnel and rentals) assumes the cleaning contract 50 percent of the remaining budget.

"Under these conditions the cleaning situation, painted container or a real street fraud Murcia pocket, or at least the vast majority."

Department of Environment

IU-Green believes that it is time to terminate the contract with Terra Natura

The spokesman for IU-Greens in the city of Murcia, Esther Herguedas, considered today that the park management contract Terra Natura is a drag on the council and that "it would be wise to seek formulas for rescission."

Herguedas mapping defined three million euro budgets reserved for Terra Natura 2014 within the Department of Environment as "a bloody mortgages that let Miguel Angel House management."

For the mayor, the deal to the company's Generala, which manages the park, is "privileged" because while municipal contracts are down 20 percent, to Terra Natura up this year is 8 percent.

"And this, he adds, in a context of greater economic benefits from the exploitation, because as the company acknowledged in press, in summer has increased the number of users to increase the people who do not go on vacation for the crisis" .

For the rest of the games of the council, believes Herguedas tonic maintain the minimum investment in the previous period and highlights the slow implementation of the bicycle, which does not correspond to the large increase in the number of users.

The resources allocated by this council both for track cycling trails to the rental system are for Herguedas "anecdotal".

"With so little support, does not explain how the City intends to implement the public bicycle system has been announcing and never seem to get", was completed.
