The Department of Works and Community Services, led by José Arce, will next year 2014, according to the Budget Bill, with a game total of 5,043,974 euros, regardless of the amounts for improvement and extension of the sewerage network and supply, and more than 25 million euros for the implementation of the North and South Coastal.

Since one of the objectives of the budget of the city of Murcia is focused on the development of initiatives to help promote employment and economic growth, the Department of Works and Community Services will continue next year developing maintenance and improvement works in districts of the municipality, which will encourage the contract to small and medium enterprises, and therefore job creation.

A key for next year the council is led by José Arce Coastal development, following its release, which is considered the largest public works to be carried out over the next two years, by amounting to more than 25 million euros, which will help generate employment in Murcia.

According to forecasts, the tendering of the works will take place early next year 2014.

In terms of lighting, another important actions to be carried out in 2014 is the renewal of the copper wiring lighting.

The continuous robberies have led to the council to have to take drastic measures to prevent theft and thus not keep spending in this regard.

The Department will allocate one million euros to this action consist of concreting lighting manholes.

Also, the city of Murcia in 2014 will continue with its plan to optimization of resources in this regard, so it will continue with performances already started and it represents a significant energy and cost savings, winning sustainability by installing LED system , and continuing so to generate savings in current expenditure of the Municipality of Murcia.

An expense that has been reduced by over 20% with the measures undertaken in recent years.

In another vein, in 2014 will continue the improvement and expansion of water supply and sewerage network which will be held in collaboration with the municipal water company (Aguas de Murcia).

These actions will be undertaken in the districts in which the priority has been detected in the development of improved water supply and sanitation network and expanding it.

The amount allocated to this game is over 2 million.
