20 years of "Hell Fiance 'of Chumilla-Carbajosa (21/10/2013)

The councilman of Culture, Rafael Gomez, participated this morning in the presentation of the activities to be carried out to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the film The Promised hell Murcia director and producer, Chumilla-Carbajosa.

The press conference was attended by the Minister of Culture, Pedro Alberto Cruz and Murcia filmmaker, Chumilla-Carbajosa.

In 2013 marks the twentieth anniversary of The Promised Hell, the debut of filmmaker Chumilla-Carbajosa inspired the myth of Orpheus, which was shot entirely in natural areas of the Region of Murcia.

The film was also the debut film of Ginés García-Millán next to the most important generation of Murcia professional filmmakers who, for the most relevant today are professionals Spanish film industry: Elijah Leon Siminiani (director), Antonio Conesa (producer and director), Carlos Gras (assistant director), Angel Haro (set designer), Miguel Franco (musician), among many others.

Prior to the premiere of the film will be 'The Unmaking Of' (Or how not made), an international project in 2004 Chumilla-Carbajosa conducted with the support of producer LM Kit Carson, one of the historical references of American independent cinema.

The play, which won the 2010 Special Jury Prize at the International Film Festival of Valladolid (Seminci), is an apocryphal story that mixes fiction and reality, using as a starting point himself 'The Promised Hell', showing novel aspects dwarf reflection film about cinema itself and the passage of time.

It has also published a book containing an interview he conducted the director and film critic Professor Lucia Tello.

The book is complete with original movie script written by Chumilla-Carbajosa and Edi Liccioli and a selection of artwork with photographs, sketches, drawings, etc..

This material will form part of a traveling exhibition that will open on December 12 in the Hall of Columns of the Palace Almudí.

The exhibition will also include several pieces and works of different artists to recreate the film's creative work.

With the alter ego of Alex Fortuna, Chumilla-Carbajosa proposes, after two decades, the long awaited final version of The Promised Hell has been restored, reissued and remastered with the support of MIFI (Mediterranean International FIlm Institute) and The Horn , one of the most prestigious Spanish companies audio post.

Its world premiere was held on December 16, 2013 at the headquarters of the Regional Film "Francisco Rabal" Film Salzillo, with the presence of the most significant actors, artists and technicians who participated in the film.

Previously will screen the film The Unmaking of (Or how not done) - unprecedented in Murcia-screens and first-time viewers will get to see two movies in a row.
