IU-Greens seeks clarification of the Colegio San Antonio de Padua (21/10/2013)

The spokesman for IU-green in the city of Murcia, Esther Herguedas has asked councilors Heritage, Cosme Ruiz, and Education, Maria Dolores Sanchez, to explain the resolution of the surface rights of subsidized school San Antonio de Padua, now called Fleet.

The above resolution refers to "the municipal plot had been ceded to this private facility and it was agreed at the Board of Governors on October 9."

Herguedas has indicated that this center has been since its origin by "numerous problems" result of "mismanagement private business who puts the Right to Education".

He explained that in two years the center several million euros accumulated debt, principal, three million euros to the developer who built it, who seized the school, the nursery, the furniture of both buildings and the headquarters of the Foundation was in Cartagena, as well as a million and a half euros that the foundation would have paid the City of Murcia on public lands leased for private use.

As a result, the company went into bankruptcy, which has now been resolved by court order of the Commercial No. 2, issued in February this year, as pointed Herguedas.

The councilor also pointed out that these problems led to the transfer of ownership of the company Christian Schools Foundation Globalis, which in turn transferred it to the current company also manages the center concerted Las Claras in Los Alcazares.

He noted that as a result of the court decision, the council has resolved the surface rights ordained for the first commercial Christian Schools Foundation, with no subrogation in the second extinction of the legal personality of the same.

Given this new situation, the mayor has asked Councilman Heritage explanations on the status of this center and the land once owned by the City adopted this agreement, in order to know what has happened in the process with the embargo which weighed on the million and a half that belonged to the municipality, as well as charging the fee amounts that were pending payment to the City.

It has also required the Councillor for Education about the legal status of this center and see if any are planned according to the new company that manages it.

Herguedas considered that this is "a new opportunity to rectify the erratic nature of the commitment of the regional and municipal administration by this private center providing education counseling center management and converting the school into the public establishment should have built from the beginning to solve part of the educational problems of the area.
