Manos Unidas charity race held tomorrow to build agricultural training center in India (20/10/2013)

The delegation of Murcia of Manos Unidas, in collaboration with the Municipality of Murcia, tomorrow celebrates its second edition of the Fun Run Murcia Manos Unidas in order to raise funds for the construction of an agricultural training center in India.

The race will start at 10.00 hours, and travel, totally urban, is 10 kilometers.

The start and finish are located in Juan Carlos I, by the Prince of Asturias flag, and was given two laps of the course.

Trophies will be awarded in the men's and women the first runner to reach goal in each category.

The circuit is as follows: Juan Carlos I, Plaza Circular, Constitution Avenue, Gran Via, Lieutenant Flomesta, Paseo Garay (to the intersection with Ronda de Garay) and walk around Garay, Lieutenant Flomesta, Ganvía, Jerome de Roda, Constable, Diez de Revenga, Primo de Rivera, Plaza Circular and Juan Carlos I.

Funds raised by Manos Unidas project will go to building a technical training center for young poor agricultural tribal Nagpur district, Maharashtra, on the west coast of India.

It aims to educate young poor in organic farming.

In this region drought ravages crops and the number of suicides among farmers who lose everything is very high.

The aim is to train young people for two years in modern techniques of agriculture and livestock to get ahead.

Manos The project includes the construction of a community hall for classes, a laboratory for teaching biofertilization and biocontrol methods, and the purchase of a tractor.

The project will directly benefit 80 students a year, and are expected to reach 50,000 people teachings.
