Zarandona opens its doors in a new facility for reconciling work and family life (18/10/2013)

The building plan allows for 1,021 daycare spaces 0-3 years in centers built in recent years within the municipal program.

The new center helps to make the workday support parents to care for their children.

Zarandona account since last September with a new center of reconciliation of work and family life this morning has been visited by the Mayor, Miguel Angel House, accompanied by the Councillor for Education, Lola Sanchez, and the president of the Board Municipal, Purification Manzano.

The facilities have opened proposing a set of educational and leisure activities with which to address the need for recreation and leisure for children whose parents can not serve them because they were working during non-school periods.

Thus, the services provided respond to new social needs presented by families Murcia, allowing a balance and making compatible the responsibilities of work and family type.

With this initiative, the City contributes to the progressive improvement of the quality of life and welfare of the families of Zarandona, providing services that ensure adequate care for their minor children during working hours of parents, in turn morning and afternoon.

The center, owned by the city, is located on Calle Jesús Hernández Conesa, and its construction was financed by the Ministry of Social Policy of the Autonomous Community, which provided a grant of just over 800,000 euros.

The management was awarded to Infer Studies Center.

The new center has capacity for 247 children daily, divided into morning and 132 in the afternoon.

It is aimed at children aged between 16 weeks and three years in morning and 16 weeks to 12 years in the afternoon, and no school period in the morning and afternoon, combining working hours of parents with care for their children.

To do this, has 8 classrooms, 3 playgrounds, 1salon multipurpose / dining room and kitchen.

These centers serve achieve the primary purpose of reconciling work and family life and for that, they offer various services to citizens:

Infant School, for children from 16 weeks to three years in morning and evening.

?

Toy Library during school, 16 to 20 hours from Monday to Friday for children between 3 and 12 years.

?

Christmas School, Spring School, School of June and September school for children between 3 and 12 years., In non-lecture period in time from 8 to 14.30 and 16 to 20 hours.

?

Summer School, July and August, for children between 3 and 12 years, in times of 8-17 hours.

?

Holidays educational administration, Saint Joseph Calasanz and St. Thomas Aquinas, the hours of 8 to 14.30 and 16 to 20 hours, for children between 3 and 12 years.

?

Family Respite Services, on individual days, can go under 3-12 years do not attend the center regularly and can come loose days due to special circumstances and point of the mother and / or father, the hours of 16 to 20 hours; pudiendolo used for up to 4 hours per week.

More than a thousand new jobs

Result of this plan to encourage development of childcare to ensure the reconciliation of work and family driven from the city, there are currently nine operating centers for children in neighborhoods and districts, with a capacity of 1,021 seats.

So it fulfills one of the objectives of the government team, reconciling work and family life and expand the network of schools with initiatives designed to reconcile their occupational, family and training.

In this area is the generation of land required to build centers for children of 0-3 years.
