The Platform Citizens for Public Transport supports mobilization Aljucer neighbors (18/10/2013)

The Platform Citizens for Public Transport supports Aljucer neighbors in concentration held Sunday from 20 to 11 hours on the road from El Palmar (near the entrance to the village) to require recovery line 61 and claim a quality public transport to villages.

Platform members attended last night at a town meeting called by the neighbors at Casino Aljucer where publicly expressed their displeasure over the removal a year ago of the old line 61, which has left the village without a bus, having to move far up the road from El Palmar to use the lines going to the Arrixaca.

The Platform reiterates that Aljucer is a hamlet situated just 5 kilometers from Murcia with more than 7,500 inhabitants, and is totally unacceptable to have run out of direct public transport.

At this concentration, the neighbors also want to express their discontent with the malfunctioning of public transport that are the districts in general, with a more expensive price than the city buses, and with frequencies that are excessive and by the exclusion of neighboring districts in the new bond combined bus and tram driven by the city of Murcia.

The Platform Citizens for Public Transportation consists of neighborhood organizations, consumer and user, and political union have joined forces to work by public transport and social, safe and sustainable for the municipality of Murcia.
