Saturday will participate in the procession that takes place in the old town of Murcia on the occasion of the festival of Our Lady of Grace
The Monumental de San Juan de Dios house from Thursday 17 to Sunday 20 October Our Lady of Arrixaca, ancient patron of the city of Murcia.
The image will move in procession from the Bishop's Palace on Thursday at 19:30 am and will be exposed to the faithful and visitors in the tabernacle of the sanctuary, main temple space, allowing a close view to all who come to contemplate.
Their normal location in the chapel of the Church of San Andrés makes it harder to view the ancient size, so that its location in San Juan de Dios allow closer contemplation of the image.
La Virgen de la Arrixaca be present at the events organized annually on the occasion of the feast of Our Lady of Grace and Good Success, head of the Church of St. John of God, such as the solemn procession triduum and Saturday 19 October on the streets of the historic center of Murcia, where exceptionally participate.
Also during the festivities in honor of Our Lady of Grace will be held in the Plaza del Cristo de la Salud and the Apostles Street, between 17th and 20th October, a medieval market.
