The bikes were sold in the black market and thrift stores
They attribute 25 steals in the last two months
National Police agents have arrested six youths who stole bikes in garages, storage areas and in different parts of the streets of the city of Murcia.
They attribute 25 bike thefts in recent months.

The investigations began after learning that in some parts of the city, bike thefts being committed, especially in garages and storage rooms of houses.
Moreover, in some cases were stolen in public at the various points where they were parked.
The first investigation led investigators to the centers for the sale of second-hand goods.
The agents learned that several youths had made sales in these stores.
Some of the bikes were resold in these establishments, or black market, which is not included in any official records, which increased the difficulty to recover.
However the agents collected all the evidence necessary to identify the perpetrators of the theft and take steps to recover any of the bikes.
The modus operandi of the thieves was similar in all cases.
Was introduced in neighboring communities and collective garages, and while some watching, others forced the doors of the storerooms.
At other times forced the locks of which were parked in the street.

With all the information and evidence needed for indictment, on 8 and 10 October, once identified, we proceeded to the arrest of the six authors of the theft, of Spanish nationality and aged between 20 and 32 years.
At the same, they have already gone to court, they are charged at least 25 bicycle thefts and robberies in the city of Murcia in a time period of two months.
The operation was carried out by agents of the district of San Andres de la Police Headquarters of Murcia.
