The Museum of the City begins its season last year with the addition of Project Café Con-Text (08/10/2013)

The Museum of the City of Murcia started this month a new season filled with all kinds of cultural activities to be held from October to December 2013.

There will be conferences, lectures, guided tours and workshops for children.

The Museum of the City starts the fourth quarter with a new cultural project that will continue throughout 2014.

Cycle is Coffee With context, an initiative in which the teaching staff of the museum will be responsible for selecting the texts and guide this "book club".

May attend all those interested in the history of the city of Murcia and its municipality.

Participants must be pre-registered all season or single sessions.

The only requirement will be proposed previously read text and look forward to sharing a "sweet coffee" and a good chat.

The event will take place in the different rooms of the museum to 18horas.

Is the title of the lecture series that honors Murcia characters from different disciplines and historical periods, whose lives will be told by family, biographers and researchers.

We started the project with Alberto Sevilla Albarracin we discuss Alberto Sevilla Perez on October 17.

On 21 November, we will Manuel Gálvez Antonete experiences of Gálvez.

To end this season, Thomas Bernal Zamora will talk about Jose Martinez Tornel December 12.

All lectures will take place in the museum's auditorium at 20 am.

All Saints Day.

This year continues with guided tours "The abode of the dead."

They will visit the museum's permanent collection, taking as a funerary rites and burial present in different cultures.

The visits will take place on Thursday, October 31 to 17, 18 and 19h, on Saturday, November 2, at 11, 12th, 13th, 17th, 18th and 19h and Sunday, November 3 to 11, 12 and 13 hours.

Workshops at the Museum.

Christmas

Taking advantage of the school holidays, and every Christmas, the museum will make a series of workshops for children and youth.

They will cover different aspects of city life, such as its history, traditions and customs associated with this holiday, people like the painter Pedro Flores ... The workshops will take place on: Friday, December 27, Thursday, January 3 and Friday, January 4.
