"The Green Bicycle," a film from Saudi Arabia that affirms the rights of women in Cinema Paradise (04/10/2013)

Paradise Cinema initiative, which involved the Cinema Hall of the University of Murcia, announced for next Monday and Tuesday, on 7 and 8 October, two films from very different optical, represent a vindication of the rights of women.

It is a Spanish film and one from Saudi Arabia.

Monday, 7 October: "The green bike".

A film of Saudi Arabia that has captured has presented few festivals 2012: CinemAvvenire Award for best picture.

Interfilm CICAE and Nobel Prize at the International Venice Film Art.

Prize for the best film festivals in Tallinn Black Nights Film and Dubai.

Best Director Award in Palm Springs, United States in 2013 ...

The film, which has thrilled viewers through the world and has been a real discovery of Middle Eastern cinema, is based on the life of a niece of the director, Wadjda, a ten-year-old living in a society as archaic women are banned from such everyday things like riding a bicycle, something that becomes an ardent desire for the girl.

Tuesday October 8, 2013: "With the broken leg"

Directed by Diego Galán

Taking fragments of 180 Spanish films, both fiction and documentary, Galán follows the evolution of the image of women in Spanish cinema from the 30s to the present.

The XXI century viewers will be surprised with the picture, fortunately now surpassed that of women offered Spanish in the past.

The films will be projected in theaters Centrofama sessions 17:30, 20 and 22:30 pm, at the price of 4 euros for the general public and 3 for college.
