The IU-Greens councilor in the city of Murcia, José Ignacio Tornel, has reported today that the residents of El Carmen district were not informed of cutting 42 poplars, bringing the version offered by the council "not credible ".
Tornel has indicated that in the House of the Municipal Board of the neighborhood that took place yesterday, the president of the company, the PP, admitted that until August 8 was not informed by the Department of Environment which was to proceed to felling the trees.
Add the mayor that "it is impossible" for neighbors and members of the city council of El Carmen knew she was going to run the logging because the last plenary session of the summer was the 26th of July, and until yesterday did not re- muster.
"This dismantles the official version of the Department of Environment, who said that neighbors and board representatives were informed about everything," he concluded.
