Moros y Cristianos, more colorful to the streets of Murcia (27/08/2013)

The Moors and Christians of Murcia brings more than thirty activities for all ages between 9 and 16 September, when they offer their shows of color, light and sound in the context of the Fair Murcia.

Moors and Christians will again walk the streets of the city with its colorful parades as they have done since the early 80s, combining the events taking place in the gardens of Malecón with performances in squares in the center of Murcia.

The Moors and Christians of Murcia born as such in 1983, but her pregnancy was in 1981 on the occasion of the commemoration of the founding of Murcia, event happened on April 21 of the year 831.

In June 1983 the Association of Festivals and the same year, in September, kicked off the shows themselves.

Five were the founders of this Association Groups: Mudéjares, Rahman II, Ib-Arabi, Aben-Mardenix, by the Moors and the Knights of the Temple, for the Christian.

In this first show of 1983 was received support from groups Abanilla and Orihuela.
