More than 4,200 people have visited the Waste Treatment Plant Cañada Hermosa January-June 2013 (13/08/2013)

In order to show people the Murcia municipal resources available for treatment and final disposal of waste, the city of Murcia, through Cespa has organized a series of guided tours of the Waste Treatment Plant Cañada Hermosa.

The activity that takes place is run by two monitors in the center of urban solid waste treatment Cañada Hermosa, showing visitors the processes that are performed with different waste plant receives daily.

The objectives of these guided tours are:

- Provide students knowledge of municipal resources for treatment and final disposal of the waste that we all generate.

-Teach positively evaluate environmentally safe solutions for waste.

- Report of the importance of the knowledge Selective Collection Plant ¬ Packaging Selection.

- Develop attitudes of respect and appreciation to the people who perform these jobs: All jobs are worthy and necessary for society.

- Understand the use of clean energy with a visit to the biogas plant.

Publicize the Treatment Center facilities: Recycling plant, controlled landfill, Packaging Selection plant, biogas plant and composting plant for organic waste.

From January to June 2013, the number of visits was 4,232 visits Murcia town centers and other centers of the Region of Murcia.

The main recipients are students of third cycle of primary education.

During 2012 the number of visits to the center was of 4,127 persons

In speeches in the environmental training room treatment center Cañada Hermosa MSW is delivered to students in Primary 6 a folder with all the information relating to the treatment center and its various facilities.

The MSW Treatment Center also has a program for adults.

The activities are also performed by instructors and technicians concessionaire ¬ za Clean Urban and Waste Management.

Recipients are those groups interested in learning the steps taken in Murcia with the waste generated by the population.

Environmental Classroom "The Oil Mill"

The Treatment Center has an old mill that was fitted as a guest reception classroom where students and people interested in knowing the details are center facilities through lectures, audiovisual, and models.

Since 1994 develop awareness campaigns in these facilities, where more than 5,000 people annually visit.

This requires the continued maintenance of the facilities so that annually make the classroom refurbishment.
