The work done on the road of Boatmen improve the safety of drivers and pedestrians (07/08/2013)

The Mayor attended the opening ceremony, chaired by Ramon Luis Valcarcel.

The Ministry of Public Works and Planning has invested nearly 2.6 million in the refurbishment of the road, with a length of 7.8 kilometers.

Drivers and pedestrians more safely transiting from now on the road Sewer-Boatmen thanks to the renovation and improvement made by the Ministry of Public Works and Planning.

The work, which has required an investment of nearly 2.6 billion euros, has been carried out on a stretch of 7.8 kilometers in length.

The intervention consisted of the widening of the road-of 6-10 meters, improving the layout by enlarging the radius of the curves, which have gone from 30 to 200 meters, and the replacement of the firm's section between the A7 and the Diversion Canal.

In addition, new signage was installed both horizontally and vertically and marking.

The opening ceremony was chaired by the President of the Autonomous Community, Ramón Luis Valcárcel, and has been attended by the Mayor of Murcia, Miguel Ángel Cámara, the Minister of Public Works and Planning, Antonio Sevilla, the president of Boatmen Municipal Board, Diego Martinez, the ruler of Sewell, and councilors of the city of Murcia Jose Ros, Juan Antonio Bernabé, José Arce and Alicia Barquero.

Also, the works have included the construction of a roundabout at the intersection with twine Road From Valencia and extending the bridge over the shipping channel.

The performances have allowed traffic order, the simultaneous circulation of two vehicles and ensure a comfortable passage to pedestrians transiting the area.
