Fade Foundation provides educational support to 44 vulnerable children (27/07/2013)

Fade Foundation provides educational support to 44 vulnerable children in order to alleviate the situation facing children from disadvantaged backgrounds, often immigrants.

FADE performed, along with AC Albedaya, the initiative 'Youth Worlds Very Young', with the collaboration of the city of Murcia and funded by La Caixa Social Work.

This project aims to reduce the risk of social exclusion, especially in the fields of education and training.

Education Councilwoman Maria Dolores Sanchez, met with officials of FADE Foundation to analyze the balance of this project, which provides educational services to children in difficulty of Murcia, with special support for the immigrant community.

Over 2013 have attended a total of 44 children between 6 and 12 years in vulnerable situations.

FADE has had the collaboration of 31 volunteers who have cared for children in school remedial classes CEIP San Andres and a workshop of Spanish at IES Miguel de Cervantes.

The scope of this initiative includes a 'School parents' in order to provide the necessary tools and social habilidadades, guide them on the Spanish education system, and involve them in the process eduacativo growth of their children, helping to overcome the difficulties and doubts that they face.

This project has been running since 2006 and currently participate under different nationalities and socio-economic profiles.
