The Regional Employment Service and the Institute of Tourism show new niches in the tourism development in the Huerta de Murcia (16/07/2013)

The CEOs of Regional Employment and Training (SEF), Ginés Martínez, and the Institute of Tourism, Enrique Ujaldón, by the Councillor for Employment, Trade and Business of Murcia, José María Tortosa, participated today in the presentation of the study market on 'Opportunities and initiatives for job creation in the tourism sector' of the Local Employment Commission of the District of the Huerta de Murcia, which were new market niches related to tourism.

The study emphasizes the corporate exploitation of resources, wealth and tradition of the garden as a differentiator and can result in new job-creating initiatives.

The proposals set out a series of actions that have to work and business entrepreneurs as you consolidate with the collaboration of the regional administration and the municipalities of Sewell, Beniel, Murcia and Santomera short to medium term.

The actions have the common appeal of the vegetable garden and the use of new technologies, the latter highlighting the tourist as a defining element when choosing your destination for leisure.

In this regard, the report highlights the viability of tourism-related businesses active in organizing itineraries and tours of various landscapes of the Huerta de Murcia to revive the traveler a unique experience.

Furthermore, these actions linked to the development of tourist packages in which the enjoyment of charming places is linked to the cuisine of the home-grown products.

It also proposes joint action and synergy among the producers of the garden, catering establishments and hoteliers to promote this differentiator and attractive for visitors.

Furthermore, the study encourages increasing the supply of tourism related to languages, noting that the average stay and spending by these tourists is above average.

This work to expose job opportunities is also taking place in other districts of the region and will be presented by the Regional Employment Service and the Institute of Tourism municipalities.

The aim of this initiative is to provide knowledge to the whole society Murcia for implementation of new entrepreneurial initiatives linked to tourism, strategic Murcia.

A May 31, 2013, the activities of hotels and travel agencies provided employment to 33,315 workers in the region directly, representing an increase of 2.8 percent in the number of Social Security members from May , 2012.

Also, this reflects an increase in relation to the previous month of 1.8 percent in the number of members.

Analyzing the series, this is the month of May with a further increase in membership since 2008.
