The spokesman for IU-Greens in the city of Murcia, Esther Herguedas, has reported today that the government team has executed this year a cut of nearly 20 percent over the "already meager" budget which allocated to the activities of associations neighborhoods and districts.
Herguedas stated this budget, employ associations in organizing sporting, cultural, educational or promotion of associations, education, health or the environment has been reduced "progressive" in the last six years.
Thus, according to the mayor, the subsidies have grown from 962 616 euros in 2007-114390 euros in 2013.
"With this type of policy the City will end by destroying the little that still remains associative to the cuts, and thus disappear from the cultural life of our neighborhoods and districts."
He noted that "the team's Party not only aid cuts but also through the tax ordinance, agrees to pay all these groups by the use of municipal buildings through the creation of a new public price for these facilities. "
It has also ensured that it seems strange that the City "avoid publicizing these calls or do, as has happened this year in a press release dated July 6, when the official deadline for submitting applications was over June 20 ".
