Socialist Party councilor José Zapata asks the local government, given the risk of fire that exists in the city due to the large presence of many areas and brownfield sites full of dried herbs, launch an information and awareness campaign aimed to the owners of these sites so that they are kept clean and set a time to condition.
Zapata warns that fire risk is a reality, especially in areas of urban expansion in Murcia that until recently were orchard, and are now derelict, riddled with dry grasses and weeds.

"We understand that we must make allowance for these homeowners who are paying property tax on undeveloped land urban, but if after a reasonable time these sites remain the same will have to face the sanction specified in the bylaws and payment service firefighters in case of fire occurring. "
Therefore, the Socialist Party calls on the Department of Fire and Civil Protection, in collaboration with the Planning and Environment, and Government Delegation to launch this awareness campaign and design a special plan for fire prevention for the summer.
