A new ordinance to be adopted at the next plenary session, shall regulate the rights and obligations of persons with disabilities.
This new standard, with which the Department of Traffic and Transportation, led by Javier Iniesta aims to make everyday life easier for people with limited mobility, has agreed with associations, responsible local police and traffic, as well as municipal groups opposition.
The Governing Board today gave the green light to draft ordinance regulating the issuance and use of parking cards to persons with disabilities, which may be benefiting the people who reside and are registered in Murcia and have recognized, for Murciano Institute of Social Action (IMAS) or the competent authority, a rating of 7 or more points on the scale of mobility.
Among the novelties introduced this new feature, is the expansion of the maximum period allowed to park in areas reserved for disabled people recognized, reduced from four to six hours.
