The Catholic University of Murcia UCAM open enrollment period for its training courses in open MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) next July 1.
These courses are taught at a distance, with a learning-oriented structure, including testing and evaluation to demonstrate the knowledge acquired.
They also have massive and global reach and materials are openly accessible online.
In principle, MOOC courses that will be offered from the UCAM are: Hotel Management, Coolhunting, Create your own MOOC with Google Course Builder, Introduction to statistical data analysis with R, Economics for beginners and Participative Democracy.
Tuition is free, no classroom attendance required, and may be requested to finalize a certificate of achievement (after payment of fees and pass a final exam) or a Diploma UCAM MOOC (after payment of fees and overcome a test face) .
The courses are centralized from the University MOOC Unit, which is responsible professor of the School of Communication Josep Martinez.
In addition to this training offer, the unit also produces UCAM MOOC Knowledge Pills, capsules brief knowledge about different topics presented in a visually attractive and to allow sharing knowledge in the form of quick tips, guides, definitions or explanations from teachers UCAM or prestigious guests.
