A total of 15 tunas from Spain, Mexico and Puerto Rico participate in the XVII International Contest of Tunas "Barrio del Carmen", to be held on 4, 5 and 6 July at the Artillery Barracks.
The Tunas contest organized by the Tuna Universitaria del Distrito de Murcia, 1912 and sponsored by the City and the University of Murcia, El Corte Ingles, Estrella de Levante, Bodegas Juan Gil, Foundation
Cajamurcia and Coca-Cola, not only will the music to this site, but its participants, a total of 400 rounds and will parade through the streets of the city of Murcia inviting you to join this great event.
Admission is free and all nights will be free tastings, in collaboration with Coca-Cola, Estrella de Levante and the Friends of the cake.
The two awards from the competition were awarded this year in the actor Arturo Fernandez, as Grand Master, and the singer Merche, as Godmother.
Vest and Trova will star special concert this year, on a night that promises many surprises on the stage with the winners and District Tuna.
The painter Murcia Miguel Vivo is the author of the poster of this year, having left their particular worldview student with his distinctive style.
The contest can be seen live via the Internet thanks to the support of the University of Murcia, through www.tunadistritomurcia.com web.
