The Socialist Group supports the mobilizations against the 'tasazo' markets and harassment complaint vendors (20/06/2013)

The council of the Socialist Group, Pedro Lopez, Andrea Garries, Mar Rosa and Jose Zapata again today have moved their support to market vendors who are suffering harassment by the Department of Markets to quell protests against ' tasazo 'imposed by the City.

During a visit to the market of Fame, Lopez has demanded the mayor House to intervene and remove the triple price increase current rates leaving the future of 4,000 families in the air.

Until now, socialist spokesman recalls a seller could pay an annual average of 1,500 euros and the 'tasazo' will have to pay about 4,000 per year.

In addition, Lopez has criticized the lack of capacity for dialogue shown by Councillor Markets, Christopher Smith, in this conflict.

"Today we learned that has banned vendors park their vehicles within the perimeter of the market under threat of sanction where the trucks life are left behind to move easily put the goods".

Thus, Lopez has urged House to take matters into ceasing to Councilwoman Markets, Christopher Smith, and assuming responsibility it directly.

In this situation, the Socialist Group reiterates its support for the demonstrations called for Thursday by vendor associations.

Lopez insists that vendors also markets "are small business owners, freelancers who are part of local commerce, and right now, the PP will need a hand freezing taxes and not a rope around his neck to force them to pay three times more than last year by riding their posts ".
