Training for women victims of domestic violence (13/06/2013)

Provide training to women victims of violence is the program's goal Avanza Women, funded by the city of Murcia, the Autonomous Community, the European Social Fund and the Social La Caixa.

In training courses, developed by Radio ECCA, 74 women participated, 34 of them have been developed by the Municipal Equipment Violence Care City of Murcia (EMAVI).

Councilmember Equality Policy and Development Cooperation, Alicia Waterman, participated in the presentation of diplomas.

From December 1, 2012, until June 30, 2013 have been performed 8 different training activities are:

-Four pre-employment workshops (20 hours / each) on social skills and self-esteem, and job interview preparation.

-Two computer literacy courses for job search and training (a course of 80 hours and another 40 hours), with a total of 25 students.

-Two assistant courses help at home (one of 120 hours and another 100 hours) who have completed a total of 27 students, with practices in Murcia SAL home help, home help Molina de Segura and Residence Our Lady of the fuensanta.

This program aims to improve the employability and achieve socio-professional insertion of women victims of violence, conducting a custom integration pathway has social care, tutoring, individualized career guidance and assistance to various courses.

In addition, the program is complemented by a survey service and employment agency which companies to capture contact vacancies offered to users.

Were contacted 40 companies in the region, and employment have already achieved 23 women.
