The City takes home telecare service to provide care to 2,371 people every day (29/05/2013)

Every day, 2,371 older people living in the city more quiet rise each day because they have the help and assistance they need without having to leave their homes.

Thus thanks to Telecare service, which enables them to enjoy an easier life both over 65 years and their families.

This feature helps to cover two of the most important needs of the elderly: the solitude and safety.

In the care of the elderly, the City argues for the retention of users in their usual environment.

To do this, increase municipal resources and develop a good home services that allow these people to stay at home even if they have some dependence.

The Governing Board of the City of Murcia has given the green light this morning telecare service contract home in the municipality of Murcia for a total amount of 1,833,811 euros for a period of two years, renewable for another two years.

For the first time, the city of Murcia assumes in full the fare, hence the service is carried out by the hiring company Televisa Sociosanitarios Services, SLU

The home telecare service allows people who live alone have the assurance that crisis situations can be contacted via telephone and computer equipment and specific communication, with a center that is staffed by specialists.

It provides all year round, 24 hours, and addresses those over 65, sick or disabled people living alone or living with others in a similar situation.

Both are in communication with the Service Center via radio or mobile phone and its primary function is to act emergency health, social or domestic.

Murcia is one of the few municipalities in the country that has two mobile units, adapted and equipped with all the necessary qualified personnel to intervene in the user's home in an emergency.
